Slow Boats on the Mekong

This is the ninth post in the series Round The World 2016. Start reading at the beginning, Fushimi Inari Taisha.

Two long slow boats travel alongside each other on the muddy Mekong river. Green hills rise from the river. The wooden boats are enclosed in the back, and it sort of looks like a houseboat with windows. The covered deck in the front is mostly open to allow a cooling breeze through the passenger area.
