grits teeth Happy Bunny Day
I think one of the reasons Bunny Day was so hated was not about how the eggs interrupted normal collecting, or how they took up inventory space, or the constant balloons, or how creepy Zipper is, or how it overlapped with the cherry blossom and spring bamboo events that everyone was actually excited about
I think everyone hated Bunny Day so much because it felt so familiar, too much like the interruption happening gestures everywhere
And Animal Crossing was an escape from all that, such a needed and important escape, and then suddenly our comfortable places and all of the new routines we had found were broken up as Zipper barged in
Saying “you’re not in control here either”
And all we could do was wait; there wasn’t a way to make the event finish early, or a way to skip it or ignore it, it was just here and present and pervasive
And all of that helplessness and frustration and anxiety about gestures everywhere was redirected into what was supposed to be our place away from that, and it didn’t feel great at all
Also the furniture was ugly which is maybe the greatest possible sin in Animal Crossing
At least I got to take this nice photo with my good friend Coco I would have taken another without the shoven but she seemed busy and walked out of frame that’s fine we’re really good friends right Coco?
I moved in just three weeks ago, but it somehow feels like so much longer than that??
I super agree, but it’s not the greatest time to bring this up, K.K.
